Pc Speed tips ...

• Try to keep at least 50% of your hard disk with free space. As the hard disk fills with data  it takes a longer time for disk to recover files from its storage, and being the slowest component of the CPU it will certainly slow your Pc's performance.

• Regularly delete temporary internet files that clutter your Hard disk. These files make up a large portion of junk on your Hard disk. You can do this by giving Diskcleanup

• Remove Fonts which you don't use, as they have to be loaded every time you boot your system, these will clog up valuable memory and slow down your Pc

• Be Up-to-Date with the latest versions of your software. Check out the latest updates and Bug fixes for your software as they usually offer Performance improvements.

• Clean your systems registry to stop your pc freezing often. Errors in your system registry is one of the most common cause of computer crashes. Use a registry cleaner software to do the job.

• Always remember to backup important files on some kind of safe data storage device. You never know when a file might get accidentally deleted so its best to be prepared.

Hardware maintenance tips ..

• Any grime, moisture residue of cigarette smoke, can corrode exposed metal contacts. That's why it pays to keep your system clean, inside and out.

• Keep your PC and its accessories in a cool dry dust free environment away from direct sunlight, by doing this you can extend the lifetime of your PCs components and possible data loss.

• Treat your PC well and it will serve you well. Clean its surroundings and keep it free from dust. Dust is your Pc's worst enemy, so keep it well protected and you will be rewarded.
