Try to keep at least 50% of your hard disk free. As the hard disk fills with data  it takes a longer time for disk to recover files from its storage, and being the slowest component of the CPU it will certainly slow your pc's performance.

Useful System tools which can repair and restore your Pc's operating system

     There are a lot of useful computer repair tools within Windows which most of us don't know about. If you use your computer a lot here are some system utilities you can't live without. All these tools are very helpful when trying to repair and restoring your computer's operating system. A small description of a few Good pc software tools are given below.

 

  • System Information

Just click start menu\ program files\ accessories\ system tools\  and click system information

In system information click Tools on the menu bar this dropdown menu should appearSystem tools dialogue box with tools dropdown menu     

 

 

 

 

 

 

        ü System Restore can undo harmful changes which can happen to your Pc's settings, and restores it to an earlier date so that the earlier performance can be restored.

         ü The DirectX Diagnostic Tool is a great way to find out which parts of your hardware is causing problems. 

    

  • Windows Task Manager

 By pressing these 3 keys together "Alt + Ctrl + Del"   you can access this dialogue box

 

         ü The Applications tab shows the applications which are currently active. Here you can check the status of each program whether they are running or Not responding.

          ü The Processes tab shows all the files which are currently being executed and the percentage of processing power they are using.

        ü The Performance tab shows a graphical account of the current processors usage.

 

  • System Configuration Utility

 To run this utility Click on Start menu \ Run. Type msconfig and give OKrun dialogue box
